"DIA 2016 is the largest global interdisciplinary event that brings together key thought leaders and innovators from industry, academia, regulatory and government agencies, health, patient, and philanthropic organizations from around the globe - and across all disciplines involved in the discovery, development, and life cycle management of health care products. The goal of the DIA Annual Meeting is to provide teams with a rare opportunity to build on what is already known in the development of new therapies and accelerate efforts to enhance health and well-being."
Where else can you meet with people from around the world, share your views and knowledge, experience cross-functional content with real-world application from top speakers in the industry, and network with peers to build new relationships across multiple disciplines?
Ashley: "Along with ClinEdge Engage, a large number of new and older companies featured their enhanced patient enrollment services at DIA this year. I noticed an increasing amount of technology based service providers beginning to show at DIA this year. It is pretty evident to see the growing importance of patient-centric initiatives including mobile device and wearable device patient technology has on recruitment, retention and study compliance. With this type of mobile technology data, sponsors, site and CROs are able to better determine patient diagnosis, and other patient insights and outcomes in hopes of identifying the right patients ahead of schedule. Many patient recruitment companies are taking advantage of these types of data-collecting devices to help with targeting recruitment and speeding up enrollment."
