NEW ORLEANS, June 6, 2018 – Guidestar Research, ClinEdge and BTC Network are pleased to announce the hire of clinical research industry leader, Sean Walsh, MBA, ACHE, as Director of Site Development.
In his new position, Sean will execute a wide range of duties across all three companies, including business and site development. He will also be taking a leadership role within the GuideStar and BTC Network Comprehensive Site Evaluation and Implementation (CSEI) divisions by using his experience to consult with hospitals and health systems to optimize all aspects of clinical research within the site.

Sean brings more than 20 years of medical management experience to his new role and has a key interest in strategic design and implementation of clinical research sites. Most recently, he served as Site Director for Raleigh Neurology Associates where he supervised as many as 100 clinical research studies at once, leading Raleigh Neurology to become one of the largest and most respected sites in the United States.
Prior to his time at Raleigh Neurology, Sean oversaw operations at Rex Hematology/Oncology Associates of Raleigh. He has served as an Operational Chief for multi-specialty medical centers and health systems and has vast experience integrating clinical research operations into medical practices. Sean has led an award winning clinical research site to 13 drug approvals among his many other achievements in this industry. Sean also served in the United States Air Force for 15 years where, among other responsibilities, he was Practice Manager and Business Administrator for seven primary care outpatient clinics serving more than 300,000 eligible beneficiaries.
