World Alzheimer’s Day June 21st – The Longest Day

On June 21st, the longest day of the year, “it’s all about the love – love for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.”  The Alzheimer’s Association encourages you to team up to spread awareness by participating in any activity you love – whether that’s exercise, games, throwing a party, or by just fundraising – any activity will help promote and honor those facing this awful disease. Activities can be found on The Longest Day homepage. Every dollar raised will help researchers and clinical trials move one step closer to finding a cure.

Often, clinical trials are dispersed across the country/globe and traveling can prove to be cumbersome for Alzheimer’s patients, both financially and physically. One of the main factors that impacts retention with Alzheimer’s patients is distance to the study. ClinEdge is working to find more patient-centric solutions to optimizing clinical trials for higher retention rates.
